We Welcome Our New Head Wrestling Coach: Coach Cleary

The Boone High School Athletic Department would like to officially welcome Travis Cleary as the new head boys and girls wrestling coach. Coach Cleary has an extensive background in the sport, wrestling throughout the country while in high school in both interscholastic and AAU competitions and was a member of the Coker College (South Carolina)

Boys And Girls Wrestling Interest Meeting

There will be an interest meeting for all boys and girls interested in participating in wrestling this year in the freshmen/sophomore cafeteria at 3:30 on Tuesday, October 8th. Boys Wrestling Competed in the Regional Finals and Sends Two to States

With only 6 wrestlers making it to regionals Boone placed 8th out of 36 teams. The two student-athletes below will continue on to the State Tournament! Congrats to the 6 athletes and the 2 moving forward! Lucas Moncrief Placed 2nd, He is now 47-9. Noel Soto Placed 3rd, and he is now 36-5.

Bradshaw Takes 3rd Place Finish At Wrestling State Championships

Senior Jayden Bradshaw fought back from a first-round defeat to bring home a third place finish at the state wrestling championships last weekend. Noel Soto and Andrew Fletcher also qualified for the championships after moving on from the regional competition.
