Softball Celebrate Robin Bradford’s Retirement!

The girls softball team celebrated Robin Bradford, as she moves toward retirement. She has stepped down as the head coach. She has achieved 500 wins this season; her legacy will continue at Boone. She has been such an inspiration and leader for so many athletes and students. You will be missed Coach Bradford.

We have been hon0red to have Robin Bradford as a Coach and Educator for nearly 3 decades. She has made an impact on hundreds of students and student-athletes lives. She is leaving this season after accomplishing her 500th win.

Adjustments to 5/5 sports

Today’s softball game against Titusville Astronaut has been cancelled, and will not be rescheduled. Also, there will be a boys/girls water polo game tonight at 6/7 against Windermere here at our pool.

Softball Results From the Past Week

Wekiva: After losing the lead and being down by 1 run, the Lady Braves worked back the win. Starting off the bottom of the 6th, Carlie Raper got on with a single and AShley Johnson scored her to tie the game with a triple. Avery Clark then hit a sacrifice fly to allow Ashley Johnson

Mandatory Softball Parent Meeting January 29th at 6:00pm

There will be a mandatory parent meeting for any parent of an athlete on the softball team. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm in Coach Bradford’s room. (1300 building, room 209). The building is the closest building to the student parking lot.

Softball Tryouts 1/21 to 1/23

Softball Tryouts will be held Monday, January 21st,  to Wednesday, January 23rd. Monday is optional due to MLK holiday. Monday is 3 – 5:30, Tuesday 2:45 – 5:15, Weds 2 – 4: 30   Please be sure that you have an up to date physical on file. As well as a 2.0 gpa (unweighted).  

Boone Softball Sweeps Oak Ridge 15-0 Win

  In the first game of district play Boone took care of Oak Ridge 15-0. Offense was lead by Lara Dusing, who drove in 4 runs.  Katie Diaz and Gabby Hoffman each drove in3. Ashley Johnson drove in 2. Taylor Lemon and Fernanda Fernandez each drove in 1. Ashley Johnson pitched a complete game shutout
