The girls bowling team competed in the FHSAA State bowling tournament on Wednesday November 6. The girls fought with great tenacity through the first round and landed in the 13th spot of the sweet 16 in a 34 team field. Lacey Reid and Aylin Lopez bowled their career high games of 256 and 170 respectively. Alyssa Horvath made her mark with her first Turkey (3 strikes in a row). Brooke Sharifzadeh had a high game of 185 and Brianna West bowled a high of 191. Alyssa Vetter had two consecutive strikes in the Baker round. For the first time in Boone history the girls bowling team advanced to the 2nd round state playoffs. They put up a great fight but were eliminated after a sudden death match in the 2nd round.
