Braves News · Girls Tennis State Championship Update

Congratulation to sophomore Noelle D’Angelillo and freshman Grace Schultz for their outstanding run in the FHSAA girls tennis state championships.

In singles, Noelle opened her play with a quarterfinal victory over her senior opponent from Jacksonville Sandalwood, winning 6-4, 7-6 (7-1). She fell in the next round after having drawn the #1 seed in the state, but played well throughout the match.

In doubles, the girls won their quarterfinal match against a team from Lithia Newsome, 6-4, 6-4. They came up short in the next match in the semi-finals.

After having won district titles in both singles and doubles, Noelle and Grace have a bright future in front of them and Coach Robin Bradford looks forward to next year’s season, which returns all but one player from this year’s squad.
