The Braves Swimming and Diving team took on Both Lake Nona and Lake Highland Prep Wednesday 9/18/19.
In the girls meet, The Braves were led by Suhzanne Lorber taking first in the 200IM with a time of 2:16.13 and Captain L’Wren Johnson taking first in 1 Meter diving with a score of 150.75! Second place finishers include Mai-Ly Thompson in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:14.63 and in the 200IM with a time of 2:26.42, Marlie Hayes in the 200 Free with a time of 2:08.76 and in the 100 free with a time of 57.77 seconds and Samantha Senn took home second in the 100 back stroke with a time of 1:08.99. The Braves fell to Lake Nona with a final score of 92-87 but defeated Lake Highland Prep with a score of 92-86. The Braves are now 1-3 on the year.
In the boys meet, the Braves were led by Dylan Umpierre coming in first in the 50 free with a time of 24.2 seconds and coming in second in the 100 free with a time of 53.28. While the boys were not able to place in the top two of any other individual events, the teams depth proved to be too much for both Lake Nona to handle. Consistent swims in relays and individual events by the entire team led the braves to earning the victory over Lake Nona outscoring them 93-77. The Braves fell to Lake Highland with a score of 102-78. Their record now sits at 3-1 for the year.
Both teams are back in action this Saturday where they will compete in the Lake Brantley Invitational.
