Each year, the FHSAA conducts the Academic Team Champion Program that honors schools for outstanding work in the classroom. Each school submits their individual athletic teams for this award and each must have a combined 3.0 cumulative grade point average to qualify. The Braves placed 9 of their 11 teams in that category.

Through the Fall sport season, Boone currently sits in 6^th place for all schools in the 9A classification. The top four teams and their overall placement are:

Girls volleyball – 4^th place with a 3.62 GPA

Boys swimming – 6^th place – 3.57 GPA

Boys cross country – 9^th place – 3.63 GPA

Girls swimming – 13^th place – 3.60 GPA
